We had a young patient in the office last week.  Our technician opted for the picture chart due to her age.  We started with the biggest picture in the chart, which happened to be the telephone (pictured left).  She was unable to ascertain what image was on the screen.  For a brief moment there was a concern that she was not able to see the image.  We soon realized that phones don’t look like that anymore!  We quickly changed the image to a duck and she was able to recognize that just fine.  Looks like the eye chart needs a 2013 makeover. A cell phone, Facebook logo, and an Angry Bird may be good additions! 🙂
