Recipe for Your Eyes – Salmon Cakes

Salmon Cakes – Food & Fitness – Health Monitor.

Salmon is a vision friendly food.  Salmon is a food high in omega-3-fatty acids which benefits your eyes and also your heart.

Omega-3-fatty acids are essential fatty acids.  Essential fatty acids (EFAs) are fatty acids that our body is unable to produce.  We get omega-3-fatty acids from food.  Occasionally your doctor may recommend supplements to suit your needs.

Omega-3-fatty acids (ex: salmon, sardines, tuna) help decrease eye problems and can decrease the risk of macular degeneration and dry eye syndrome.  The American Heart Association also recommends eating fish at least two times a week.
