Originally from the West Coast, Dr. Courtland Watson earned his undergraduate degree from San Jose State College and his Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1987. During his externships, he focused on primary care optometry, low vision evaluations, and vision therapy and is licensed to prescribe medicine when necessary. A year later, he opened up his own practice with Dr. North. Since then, he has been well recognised and honoured by both the Minnesota and American Optometric Associations, served as president of the Minnesota Optometric Association and the Association of Lease-holding LensCrafters Doctors, and served as the City of Lakes Grammar School Board Chair.
Dr. Watson has three children and has a passion for sports of any kind, but enjoys fishing more than any. He is also a globetrotter, making 21 separate trips to third world countries in all four hemispheres in order to treat those in need.
